ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they were looking for a female motorist in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured a 9-year-old girl in the city of Ontario.

The statement says that when officers arrived, they found the victim lying between the street and the sidewalk.

The statement says the driver of the vehicle — described as a Hispanic female between the age of 30 and 40 — allegedly made no apparent attempt to report the crash.
