Quake Swarm Rattles Riverside County
LA QUINTA (CBSLA.com) — A swarm of several small quakes has been reported for the second straight day in Riverside County.
A magnitude-3.1 quake struck about 14 miles southwest of La Quinta at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday, with its epicenter 14 miles southwest of La Quinta and 16 miles south-southwest of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage, according to reports.
The quake came less than a day after an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 rocked the mountains south of the Coachella Valley, followed hours later by a magnitude-3.7 temblor in the Idyllwild area.
No injuries or damages were reported.
