Driver Rescued From Car After Crash Downs Power Lines In Arleta

ARLETA (CBSLA.com) — A motorist had to be rescued in Arleta Sunday following a crash that downed power lines across four lanes.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the crash scene around 10:10 a.m., said Cory Weireter of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The unidentified driver crashed at 9730 W. Wentworth Street and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The driver was listed in fair condition at a nearby hospital.

Live lines were down across four lanes of traffic on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

It was not known how long it took crews to repair the downed lines or how long it took traffic in the area to return to normal.
