MISSION VIEJO (CBSLA.com) — A small plane made a successful emergency landing on the 241 toll road in Mission Viejo Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A CHP dispatcher told City News Service the plane landed on the northbound toll road at Oso Parkway at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Two people were reportedly on board. No injuries have been reported.

Fire crews were dispatched as a precaution, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said.

Officers closed all lanes in order to tow the plane off the roadway Sunday evening.

Roads were reopened at approximately 9 p.m.
