Suspect Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting In North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting in North Hollywood Friday evening.

The shooting occurred around 8 p.m., said officials.

No officers were injured in the shooting.

The incident occurred at Burbank Boulevard and Riverton Avenue after Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a man with a gun call.

The suspect was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Sgt. Ernie Fischer of the LAPD's North Hollywood Station.

It was unclear what the man was originally wanted for and unknown if the suspect fired at officers.
