Officers Uncover Large Marijuana Grow At Jurupa Valley Home

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they've uncovered more than 1,300 marijuana plants from a home in Jurupa Valley.

Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Justin Rowan said in a department statement that authorities, following an investigation, discovered the plants and processed marijuana at the home in the 6600 block of Ametrine Court.

The discovery was made about 4:30 p.m. Friday after authorities served a search warrant.

"Additionally, electricity was being bypassed around the meter, causing a serious fire hazard and resulting in approximately $4500.00 a month in stolen electricity," the statement indicated.

Authorities said an investigation is continuing.

Anyone with additional information about this case was asked to call Officer Steven Lycopolus at the Jurupa Valley Station at (951) 955-2600.
