Police On Lookout For Man Suspected Of Robbing 99 Cents Bargain Store In Ventura

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Ventura Ninety-Nine Cents Bargain store on Tuesday.

Ventury police responded to a robbery call that occurred at the store, located at 6372 Bristol Rd. shortly after 3 p.m.

The suspect allegedly physically assaulted a store employee, before stealing property from the store and fleeing, according to authorities.

The suspect, being described as a Hispanic male in his 40s, and standing at about six feet tall with a medium build and dark clothing, was last seen running south on Peacock Ave, according to a statement from the Ventura Police Department.

Police performed a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, sustained minor injuries.
