Public's Help Sought In Identifying Man Whose Remains Were Found Along River

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles County Coroner Wednesday asked for the public's help in identifying a man whose remains were found in a local riverbed.

The skeletal remains were found on the morning of July 31 along the Rio Hondo Riverbed bike path near Lincoln Avenue and San Gabriel Boulevard in Montebello.

"The remains were determined to be a White or Hispanic male with an age range between 35 and 55 years of age," Chief Coroner Investigator Craig Harvey said.

The man also has a partial denture at the back of his lower right jaw. No wallet or identifying papers were found with the remains.

Authorities have released two sketches of what the victim may have looked like.

"One is drawn with hair, the other drawn with a shaved/closely cropped hair cut," Harvey said.

Anyone with information about the identity of John Doe #152 is asked to contact Investigator Daniel Machian at the Los Angeles County Coroner Identifications Unit at (323)343-0754 or the Coroner Investigations Division at (323)343-0714.
