Deputies Seize 100 Marijuana Plants From Jurupa Valley Home
JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they've seized 100 marijuana plants from a home in the city of Jurupa Valley.
Sgt. Justin Rowan of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that law enforcement officials uncovered the plants as well as 100 pounds of processed marijuana after executing a search warrant in the 6600 block of Dana Avenue.
The warrant was served about 3:30 p.m. Friday at the home, which sits on a multi-acre property.
The suspect, identified by authorities as 42-year-old Jesus Gonzales Garcia of Jurupa Valley, was subsequently booked on suspicion of cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales.
His arrest followed a month-long investigation by a drug task force that had reportedly received a tip of the marijuana grow.
Jail records showed that Garcia remained jailed Saturday in lieu of $25,000 bail, according to City News Service.
