POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Students living at a housing complex near the Cal Poly Pomona campus were asked to shelter in place Wednesday afternoon while authorities searched for a burglary suspect.

Sky9’s Gil Leyvas reported that the incident began shortly before 4 p.m. when Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were involved in a high-speed pursuit of three suspects.

The suspects ended up at the University Village, which is a student living facility, where they fled on foot.

Two people were taken into custody. The third person is outstanding.
