NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — The woman found dead under the Bay Bridge in Newport Beach on Labor Day was identified as 28-year-old Nancy Hammour, according to the Coroner’s Division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.READ MORE: SoCal Sweep: Oregon Follows UCLA Upset With Win Vs No. 5 USC
An autopsy done Wednesday showed she died from a single gunshot wound.
A family friend of Hammour said the victim was a new mother who most recently was renting a home in Santa Ana. Her Facebook page lists Hammour as “in a complicated relationship” and features photos of her baby boy.

Hammour was reportedly found lying face down around 8:45 a.m. under the Bay Bridge at Pacific Coast Highway and Bayside Drive Monday.
Some employees of a nearby kayak rental business saw the victim from a distance, and said blood was visible on the pavement and railing on Pacific Coast Highway.
