1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Hawaiian Gardens Shooting

HAWAIIAN GARDENS (CBSLA.com) — One man was killed and another wounded Saturday in a shooting in Hawaiian Gardens.

Sheriff's Detectives were dispatched to the intersection of 215th Street and Norwalk Boulevard to investigate the shooting that happened just after 2 p.m.

Officials said upon arriving at the scene, they discovered two black males were shot multiple times.

The men were inside a vehicle that had crashed into a telephone pole.

Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. A 43-yearold male was pronounced dead. A second man, 30-years-old, was treated for his injuries. He is expected to survive.

According to witnesses, the victims were driving south on Norwalk Boulevard when the suspect drove alongside and started shooting into their vehicle.

The suspect was described as a black male driving a dark color pickup truck.
