OC Math Teacher, 38, Charged With Possession Of Child Porn
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A 38-year-old Orange County math teacher was charged Tuesday with possession of child pornography after inappropriate images were allegedly discovered on his social media account and at his residence.
Aaron Paul Widera, of Long Beach, pleaded not guilty to two counts of possession of matter depicting minors engaging in sexual conduct and one count each of sending or bringing obscene matter into the state for sale and obscene matter depicting a person under 18.
Widera, who was arrested Friday, was ordered to remain behind bars on $1 million bail.
Long Beach detectives reportedly found more than three dozen child porn photos on Widera's Tumblr account. Prosecutors said police served search warrants at the suspect's home and came upon thousands of porn photos.
The suspect faces up to six years in prison, if convicted.
