VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they’ve made an arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old convenience store clerk in San Bernardino County.
The suspect, identified by authorities as 35-year-old Eric David Robbins of Victorville, was arrested near his home about 3:30 p.m. Friday on suspicion of murdering Daniel Olivera of Hesperia.READ MORE: Federal Court Strikes Down Judge’s Order To Provide Housing To All Skid Row Homeless
The victim had completed his shift at the AM/PM Arco station in the 15700 block of Roy Rogers Drive when he was shot while standing outside and talking with the security guard around 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 11.
When officers arrived, they determined that Olivera had been struck in his upper torso.

Authorities said tips from the public led them to Robbins who was subsequently booked at the West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
