BAKER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a person has died and at least five more are injured in a collision involving a tour bus near Barstow.

The accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the 15 Freeway in Baker, according to San Bernardino County Fire.

An SUV was allegedly driving southbound when it collided with the tour bus, sending it flipping over into the northbound lanes.

Northbound traffic is being redirected back to Barstow.

Firefighters are working to extricate passengers from the bus.

San Bernardino County Fire was originally reporting two fatalities but California Highway Patrol clarified that only one person died.
