SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — A San Bernardino police officer was shot Friday night.

The incident happened at Sierra Way and Baseline Boulevard, possibly in front of a liquor store, according to CBS2’s Tom Wait.

At least two suspects were on the loose. Police set up a perimeter and were going door-to-door to look for the shooter(s).

At one point, several people were being taken away from the scene on stretchers.

The officer was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

A heavy police presence was seen at Loma Linda University Medical Center, but it’s unknown if that’s where the victim was being treated.
