Colo. Man Pleads Guilty To Pointing Laser At News, Sheriff's Helicopters
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Colorado man has pleaded guilty to pointing a laser at two helicopters operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and a local television station, the FBI announced Friday.
Isaias Gonzales, 25, is facing a year in prison and a $250,000 fine in relation to federal charges stemming from a Sept. 2012 incident, officials said.
The Denver resident is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 2.
The case was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, the LASD and the FBI.
