Southern Californians React To Birth Of Royal Baby

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Southern Californians, especially those with ties to Great Britain, are celebrating the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first son.

The 'Ye Olde King's Head' in Santa Monica was offering free champagne throughout Monday in celebration.

Customers of the popular British pub and restaurant watched the television screens as news of the baby's birth was reported.

"I'm eager to see him, I can't wait. I think he'll be so cute," British native and royal baby watcher Karen Milne said. "I remember William, when he was a baby he was so cute. So yeah, I'm delighted for them. I'm happy they're healthy and it's a very happy day."

Now that the gender of the baby has been revealed, people are curious over what his name will be.

Frontrunners for the baby's name are rumored to be James and George.

One baby-naming expert is saying that, whatever the child's name ends up being, it was likely increase in popularity in the United States within two years.
