1 Hurt After Fire Ravages 118-Year-Old Victorian Home In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — A fire ripped through a 118-year-old Victorian home near downtown Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon.

Fire spokesman Brian Humphrey said firefighters were called to the three-story home in the 600 block of South Burlington Avenue in the Westlake district just after 2 p.m.  The blaze was extinguished 45 minutes later.

Several people were helped out of the burning building.

One resident was examined by paramedics and treated at the scene.

Humphrey reported the fire is believed to have originated from the second floor.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
