HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA.com) More than 1,700 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers in the Hollywood Hills area were without power Thursday morning.

An overhead circuit went out at 7:16 a.m. affecting 1,711 customers, DWP officials said.

Crews are on scene and anticipate repairs to be done in the next couple of hours.

DWP officials are asking residents not to run air conditioning systems all day so oil doesn’t heat up in transformers and cause more outages.
