2 Suspects Arrested After Crashing Into Bus Carrying 50 Children During Pursuit In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two felony suspects Friday crashed into a school bus during a police pursuit in South Los Angeles.

The short pursuit started around 10 a.m. and ended less than five minutes later when the suspect's vehicle hit a private yellow school bus near Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Hill Street.

More than 50 children five years old or younger, who were on their way to summer camp, were taken off the bus.

No major injuries were reported.

Paramedics checked two children with minor injuries. One was released to a parent and the other may be transported to a local hospital.

Both suspects were taken into custody.

No further details were released.
