2-Year-Old Boy Nearly Drowns In Canoga Park Swimming Pool

CANOGA PARK (CBSLA.com) - A toddler nearly drowned in a swimming pool in Canoga Park on Friday night.

The incident was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the backyard of a residence in the 7300 block of Winnetka Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A teenage babysitter discovered the 2-year-old boy and performed CPR on him. The child was later airlifted to Children's Hospital Los Angeles conscious and breathing in serious condition.
