Santa Monica College Announces Retrieval Process For Personal Belongings

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday announced a retrieval process for those who left behind personal belongings on the Santa Monica College campus.

Those wishing to retrieve personal property will be required to go to a staging area located at 1510 Pico Boulevard.

Once there, those seeking their property will be required to fill out a property claim form. Picture identification and satisfactory proof of ownership will be required, officials said.

Officials also cautioned that property will not be distributed to third parties or friends.

Others, who left their vehicles behind, will be escorted to their car once at the staging area, the school said.

Questions may be directed to the campus incident call center at (310) 434-3500, which is open until 9 p.m.
