Pomona Woman Fatally Shot Near Front Yard Of Home
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday were investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 46-year-old woman in Pomona.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of Munhall Avenue about 12:11 a.m. Upon arriving on scene, they found the victim, identified as Daneta Fields of Pomona.
Pomona police said Fields was found lying near her front yard, suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to a department statement.
Fields was pronounced dead at the scene. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
