Detectives Make Arrest In Murder Of 63-Year-Old San Bernardino Man

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) —  Officials have announced the arrest in the murder of a 63-year-old San Bernardino man.

Police say Ruben Arriola, 31, killed Fernando Ignacio Navarette on Thursday May 26, about 2 p.m.

Navarette was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was declared dead.

Officers responding to a shooting call in the 400 block of E. Norman Road found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

After an investigation, detectives questioned Arriola, also of Norman Road, and attested him Sunday without incident. Arriola is being held at the West Valley Detention Center.

The motive for the killing is unknown.
