New Website Offers A Social Network For Beauty

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A new website lets visitors become their own beauty critic and learn tips from makeup professionals.

On Pampadour, shoppers can find out which beauty products work best without having to test them all first.

Visitors can ask questions, post pictures and comments on what they like, and find out what others are using.

Among the beauty secrets offered up by users are pictures and videos detailing the perfect smoky eye, a cheaper way to grow long eyelashes, and reinforcement stickers for nails.

Celebrity makeup artist Christine Choi said the website offers users access to "a lot of secret techniques that the Hollywood professionals are using today."

Visitors can type in the product or look they are interested to the search bar and find a list of products users are recommending.

"You're having discussions about all different types of beauty tips, from nails, to hair, to makeup, to skincare," said Choi. "So you'll learn a lot from it."
