Parents Warned Of Man 'Blowing Kisses' To School Children In North Hills

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Police released a sketch of a man Wednesday seen blowing kisses to children from his truck near a San Fernando Valley elementary school.

"This is not some benign, friendly gesture," said Lt. Paul Vernon, of the Los Angeles Police Department, said.

Officials describe the suspect only as a 25 to 30-year-old Hispanic man with thick hair driving a black Ford F-150 truck.

He was last seen around 2 p.m. on March 12 near Plummer Elementary School, 9340 Noble Avenue, in North Hills, police said.

"Witnesses also thought they recognized the man from a prior incident when he committed a lewd act while sitting in his truck near the same school," Lt. Vernon said.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call LAPD Mission Detectives at (818) 838-9967. Anonymous tips can be called into Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
