Sketch Released Of Man Police Say Assaulted Pregnant Woman

SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in San Dimas are asking for the public's help to identify a man they say assaulted a pregnant woman Sunday morning.

The suspect accosted the woman near the intersection of Cienega Avenue and Treanor Avenue in an unincorporated area of Covina.

The victim was attacked from behind by an unknown assailant just after 8 a.m., said officials. The suspect knocked the victim to the ground and proceeded to kick her.

The victim yelled to the attacker that she was pregnant and the suspect immediately fled.

There is no known motive for this assault. The investigation is on-going and is being handled by detectives in the San Dimas station of the LA County Sheriff's.

The suspect is described as a 23 to 25 year-old Latino, 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 105 to 170 pounds. He has a shaved head. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and sunglasses.
