Angels Put Madson, Taylor On DL

ANAHEIM (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels set their opening day roster and 40-man roster following Saturday night's exhibition victory over the Dodgers, placing right-hander pitcher Ryan Madson and lefty Andrew Taylor on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 22.

The club also selected the contracts of right-hander Mark Lowe, infielder Brendan Harris and outfielder J.B. Shuck.

Right-hander David Carpenter, catcher John Hester and outfielder Kole Calhoun were reassigned to Triple-A Salt Lake, along with infielder Luis Jimenez. This will be Jimenez's eighth season in the Halos' minor league system, and he has yet to play for the big club in the regular season.

The Angels also reassigned infielders Efren Navarro and Luis Rodriguez, catcher Chris Snyder and left-hander Mitch Stetter.
