Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexual Battery At Beverly Hills Market

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday announced the arrest of a man suspected of groping a woman inside a Pavilions Market in Beverly Hills.

The incident occurred at the store located in the 9400 block of Olympic Boulevard back in January.

The suspect was identified by police as 44-year-old Ernesto Salinas of Los Angeles.

Salinas is accused of groping a woman after allegedly asking her to reach for an item on the top shelf.

He was caught on the store's surveillance, police said.

"Based on news broadcasts, the Beverly Hills Police Department received tips from the public which resulted in the arrest," police said in a department statement.

Salinas was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery and burglary.

He is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail, City News Service reported.
