Men Allegedly Used Tupperware To Steal Gas From Cars In Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) — Two men allegedly used Tupperware and glass jars to store gasoline they stole from people's cars in Rancho Cucamonga.

Matthew Mitchell, 20, and Bradley Edginton, 21, were arrested and booked for felony vandalism in connection to the Feb. 1 incident in the 5300 block of Appaloosa Court.

Deputies responded to a report that the suspects were roaming the neighborhood with a gas container and looking into cars parked in driveways around 2:30 a.m.

Authorities found six vehicles with fuel leaking from holes drilled into their gas tanks.

An investigation revealed that the men collected the gas in order to fill their own cars.
