Man, 72, Arrested For Child Annoyance At East LA Park
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 72-year-old man is facing child annoyance charges after he was arrested for harassing a girl at an East LA park.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, a parks deputy was contacted about a man harassing a young girl near a restroom at Ruben F. Salazar Park, 3864 Whittier Boulevard, on Jan. 26.
The deputy detained the man who was later identified as Luis Papilla Ayala.
"Further investigation revealed Mr. Ayala was annoying and harassing the female child in an attempt to lure her into the restroom," Paul Schrader of the LASD said.
Ayala was arrested and booked at the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station where his is being held on $20,000 bail.
