Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 17)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The mild weather we have been waiting for since Tuesday has finally arrived.

With an off-shore flow and warmer air well entrenched we will start to see our daytime highs rise into the 70s. The North and Northeasterly winds however are coming in very strong.  We have transitioned back to a wind warning.  That warning will last into the early afternoon for Los Angeles and Ventura counties, and it is expected to expire later this morning for Orange County and the Inland Empire.

The sunshine and warm temperatures will take us into the weekend with few changes.

We are watching the possibility of winds reaching advisory level tomorrow morning, but nothing has been issued yet.  We may see some cirrus clouds from time to time, but other than that, LA will be a pick spot for the weekend.

The next disturbance moving through the area looks like Tuesday, however there is no rain associated with this.  It looks like we are going to remain dry through the end of the month, hopefully that trend will change.  We do need some moisture.

Coast-low 70s

Basin-mid 70s

Valleys-mid 70s

Mountains-low 50s

Deserts-low 60s
