Allegedly Armed Suspect Shot In The Neck By Police In Panorama City
PANORAMA CITY (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police have shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a security guard in Panorama City before leading authorities on a foot pursuit.
The incident began around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of Cedros Avenue.
According to police, the suspect pointed a gun at the guard and then ran into an apartment complex.
The suspect, found a short time later, then allegedly led police on a foot pursuit.
At some point shortly thereafter, investigators say an officer-involved shooting occurred in the 8500 block of N. Willis Avenue.
According to police, the suspect was shot in the neck and taken to an area hospital.
He is reportedly in critical condition in an intensive care unit.
