Numerous Religious Artifacts Stolen From Hollywood Church

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday continued to investigate a burglary at a church in Hollywood.

A statement issued by Los Angeles police says the burglary at Holy Transfiguration Russian Orthodox Church happened on Dec. 22.

According to police, the suspected thief had entered the church's altar room in the 5400 block of Fernwood Avenue and made off with 37 religious artifacts.

Among the artifacts taken were numerous crosses and ornate cups.
