Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 6)
STUDIO CITY (CBS2) — A cold front is draping across the central portion of the state making its push to the east. This will translate into some clouds and gusty winds for the Los Angeles metro area.
The two spots that will be particularly windy will be the I-5 corridor through the Santa Clarita Valley and the Santa Ynez Mountain range in Santa Barbara County.
We are starting the day off with dense fog in spots along the coast and patchy fog through the inland empire. There is an advisory through 9 a.m.
Otherwise, it will be a relatively benign day with highs in the 60s.
We are still watching the wind event Sunday. Right now, the trough that is forecasted to drop into the area will be a little too far to the east to be a major wind event.
We will still have an off-shore flow with high fire danger, but we will have to see how intense things get as we get the next model runs. Temperatures over the weekend should be in the 70s.
