East Coast Storm Prompts LAX-Bound Flight Cancellations
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — More than 450 flights have been canceled in and out of the New York area Thursday, but only one flight was canceled out of LAX.
Most morning flights from New York and New Jersey to Los Angeles were canceled, but no afternoon flights have been affected.
LAX airport officials said an 8:30 a.m. United Airlines flight to Newark Liberty International Airport was canceled.
Airline officials encourage travelers to check ahead.
Superstorm Sandy prompted more than 20,000 flights to be canceled nationwide last week.
