Fullerton Dad Furiously Prepares For Homecoming Of Quintuplets

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Preparing for the homecoming of one new baby is hard enough, but how will Fullerton dad John Ferraro prepare for five?

After a healthy birth on Sept. 26, Ferraro and his wife Meryl are preparing to bring home their quintuplets, whom they have collectively nicknamed "G.R.A.C.E.": Gabrielle, Riley, Addison, Cooper and Emerson. Ferraro writes on the family blog, socalquints.com, that they hope for a safe and uneventful trip home back to Fullerton next Thursday.

The babies, who were conceived with the help of fertility treatments, were born at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz. under the care of multiple birth specialist Dr. John Elliott. Each of the babies has spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at Cardon Children's Medical Center. When each baby was discharged, they went home to a temporary apartment in Arizona, where the family lived for the latter half of the pregnancy.

This week, Ferraro has posted a daunting list of tasks, most of which include cleaning, painting and general organization. The new dad also plans to make some big appliance installations, including a new refrigerator and a washer and dryer.

One of Ferraro's most important tasks, however, is just keeping up with supply and demand. "Buy and stock lots and lots of diapers, wipes, etc. The babies are burning through our current stock fast!!"
