99 Cents Only Stores Shopping For A Rodeo Drive Location
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Could "I got it for just 99 cents!" ever become a phrase uttered proudly on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills?
Executives of the 99 Cents Only Stores Inc. think so. They say they've had customers driving from Beverly Hills to shop at their discount stores, asking for a Beverly Hills location, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"We are confident a Rodeo Drive store will be successful because our stores do well in affluent areas; in fact, our highest sales volume is located only a few blocks from Beverly Hills on Wilshire Boulevard," CEO Eric Schiffer said in a statement.
Last year, the Wilshire store made $12 million in sales, compared to $5.2 million for an average store, the Times reported.
99 Cents Only Stores has 222 stores in California.
