A woman in a white Honda Civic was texting while driving and ran a red light traveling eastbound on 2nd Street, according to LAPD Central Traffic Division.
The bus traveling northbound on Broadway tried to avoid hitting the car and crashed into a tree, police said.READ MORE: Young Boy Dead, 2 Others Wounded In Wilmington Shooting
The driver and all seven passengers on the bus as well as the woman all complained of injuries and were transported to a local hospital, LAPD said.

Police said charges may be filed against the female driver, who does not have a valid California driver’s license.
