DANA POINT (CBSLA.com) — A pair of Texas fisherman caught a nearly 1,000 pound Mako shark off the coast of Orange County Thursday.
The 917-pound shark was caught around 3:30 p.m. by Brian Cope and Craig Winters, who were on a sport fishing expedition off Dana Point.

“I was scared to death,” Cope said.

“This is the most physically demanding thing I have ever done. It’s like pulling a truck,” said Winters.
