LONDON (CBS/AP) — The United States recovered from a slow start to edge Romania 10-8 in men’s water polo at the London Olympics.
Trailing 5-3 halfway through the second quarter, the Americans cranked up the defense and shut down Romania while scoring four unanswered goals of their own — two of them from veteran Ryan
Bailey — to take control of the match.
Bailey and Peter Varellas led the Americans with three goals apiece.
