4 Suspects Wanted In Violent OC Jewelry Store Heist

COSTA MESA (CBS) — Authorities are looking for four suspects after violent hold-up at an Orange County jewelry store.

The suspects robbed Newport Watch, Jewelry and Loan at gunpoint around 9: 30 a.m. Monday, Costa Mesa police said.

The suspects entered the store under the premise that they wanted  a ring cleaned, officials said.

The suspects then assaulted the store owner and his son, tied them up and looted the store of cash and jewelry. The victims were found bound when police arrived.

According to officials, the owner was repeatedly kicked in the face but refused to be transported to a local hospital.

The suspects escaped in a red Jeep Liberty with a wheel on the back of the SUV.
