Is Winning $47 Million In Your Immediate Future?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Need $47 million?

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Friday evening's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow to just shy of $50 million.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was sold at the 7-Eleven store at 1151 W. Redondo Beach Blvd. in Gardena and is worth $197,900, a California Lottery official announced.

Two tickets with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were also sold in Texas, and one each in Illinois, New Jersey and Wisconsin. They are each worth $250,000. California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

The numbers drawn tonight were 8, 12, 18, 30, 40 and the Mega number was 4. The estimated jackpot was $39 million.

The drawing was the fifth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 40.

The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
