Young Bobcat Found In Rubidoux Treated For Dehydration
RUBIDOUX (CBS) — A young bobcat that was apparently dehydrated was being taken to a center in Palm Desert after being found by residents in Rubidoux on Saturday morning.
The 16-pound bobcat, believed to be about 1, was discovered in the 5700 block of Kenwood Place, according to officials with the Riverside County Animal Control.
Following the discovery, officials say a catch pole was used to snare the animal, which was subsequently sedated.
It was taken to the Western Riverside County-City Animal Shelter in Jurupa Valley to be treated for slight dehydration.
The bobcat is expected to be transported to The Living Desert, a nonprofit rehabilitation and education center, officials added.
No other information was immediately available.
