Suspects Sought In 'Hot Prowl' Burglary At Studio City Home

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Detectives on Friday asked for the public's help in identifying suspects believed to have entered and burglarized a San Fernando Valley home while the residents were asleep.

On May 21, 2012 at 4:00 a.m., North Hollywood Patrol Officers responded to a call of a "hot prowl" burglary at a residence in the 12100 block of Laurel Terrace Drive in Studio City after two suspects entered the residence and obtained a kitchen knife as they moved about the residence.

The suspects were in the process of removing items from a bedroom of one of the children when the child awoke and observed the suspects removing property.

The suspects then entered the master bedroom and turned on a light, waking another family member and causing the suspects to flee the residence in a white vehicle that was waiting in the driveway.

Burglary detectives determined that the suspects obtained a credit card that was later used at a convenience store located in the West Valley Area. Surveillance video from the store depicts the two burglary suspects that were seen inside the residence by the victims and a third unidentified female that accompanied the two male suspects.

The burglary suspects are described as two male blacks. The first suspect stands about 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. The second suspect stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. A female black accomplice is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 to 150 pounds.

If you have any information regarding the suspects in this case please contact North Hollywood Burglary Detective Torres at 818-623-4081 or 818-623-4045. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
