Investigators Search OC Landfill Second Time For Missing Boys

IRVINE (AP) — Police say they're searching a second Southern California landfill for the bodies of two boys believed to have been murdered by their father.

Orange Police Department Sgt. Dan Adams says three cadaver dogs sniffed through trash Tuesday at an Irvine landfill in search of the infant and toddler sons of 31-year-old Shazer Fernando Limas.

Limas is also accused of murdering the boys' mother, 31-year-old Arlet Hernandez Contreras. Her body was found dumped in La Puente.

Investigators believe the murders occurred sometime around April 14.

Adams says investigators have already completed a search of a landfill in Brea and began the search of the Irvine landfill after learning that trash from the suspect's apartment complex is also taken there.
