Dodgers Sweep Rockies After 11-5 Win
LOS ANGELES (CBS) -- A.J. Ellis hit his third homer of the season, helping Ted Lilly improve his record to 5-0 as the Los Angeles Dodgers pounded the Colorado Rockies ,11-5 on Sunday afternoon.
The Dodgers broke things open in the fifth inning, scoring six times, starting with Bobby Abreu's bases clearing double, and Ellis' three-run shot to left field.
Earlier in the fifth, Andre Ethier and Don Mattingly were tossed for arguing a called third strike.
Matt Kemp left the game in the third inning with an irritated left hamsting. He will have a MRI on Monday.
The Dodgers swept the Rockies for the first time in Los Angeles since 2009.
