Firefighters To 'Fill The Boot' For Muscular Dystrophy

LOS ANGELES (CBS) —  From April 23-25, the Los Angeles Fire Department will help "Fill The Boot" to help fight Muscular Dystrophy.

The popular "Fill The Boot" campaign has firefighters in 20 different locations across the Southland asking for donations from people walking and driving by.

This is the sixth year that firefighters will be raising money for MDA.

Firefighters and logo-clad MDA volunteers will be collecting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the specified days.

The fire department will not be collecting door-to-door and donations cannot be accepted at fire house.

The fire department also wants to insure driver and pedestrian safety and will rely on the public to approach with their donations and not vice versa.
