KNX Event to Help Small Business Owners Understand "The Business of Going Green"

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A group of prominent industry leaders will be featured at "The Business of Going Green," part of the KNX Business Breakfast Series presented by KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO.

The free event will take place on Friday, January 20 at 8:00 a.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Frank Mottek, the host of the KNX Business Hour, will moderate a discussion that will explore how a sustainability strategy can be good for generating revenue and why being socially responsible doesn't have to mean being fiscally irresponsible.

The panel will include H. David Nahai, Senior Advisor to the Clinton Climate Initiative and President of David Nahai Consulting Services which advises and assists public and private entities involved in the environmental sector, and Paul Polizzotto, President of EcoMedia, a division of CBS Corporation whose mission is to raise public awareness aboutenvironmental issues.

"Going green is not a choice anymore," according to Polizzotto. "Green is better for the bottom line and it's simply the right business decision."

The event, sponsored in part by East West Bank, will also include a resource expo to educate business owners about available assistance, networking opportunities and a continental breakfast for all attendees.

Admission is free to the public but advance registration is required at CBSLA.com.
